Luxury birthday picnic setup
Who doesn’t love a picnic for their birthday party?
My mom moved here last year after becoming recently widowed. My sister and I thought it would be fun to throw her a little backyard birthday party for her and her new friends. So we got all the ice cream, sprinkles, and toppings in the world. (And they all have diabetes. Every single last one of their blessed little hearts. That didn’t stop them from enjoying some ice cream, though!)
The setup was super easy using a twist on an IKEA hack I found somewhere on Pinterest. We just took wooden crates and then laid these table tops from IKEA on them.
Lots of pillows and blankets, plus lanterns and string lights made this look so cute!
We used cute disposable goods from Target and Zurcher’s and the final touch was a personalized place setting made with a golden truffle. So easy, and so much fun!
